Discover How MCP Works with TeamPal

Modified on Thu, 12 Jun at 4:04 PM

Think of MCP (Model Context Protocol) like a USB-C port for AI applications. Your agents can access a broader range of data and functionalities from external sources, depending on the MCP servers you choose (such as Zapier or Make) and your specific use cases.

If you're new to the concept of MCP, we recommend starting with this detailed guide to gain a clear understanding of what it is and how it can enhance your AI workflow.

Although MCP is still in its early stages, we strongly recommend that you thoroughly test any integration of MCP within the TeamPal app before implementing it with live agents or workflows. This testing will help you avoid any unexpected issues. It's also important to note that MCP servers significantly impact the results when they are used in TeamPal.

Step-by-Step: Configuring MCP in TeamPal

1. Find Your MCP Server

  • Start by locating the MCP server you want to use from the table above.

    • Head to https://mcp.zapier.com.

    • In the top-left corner, click on New MCP Server.

    • An authorization window will pop up: Log in and authorize the Notion account or specific pages you want to connect. Follow the prompts to complete authorization.

    • Once authorization is complete, go to the Connect tab: Under the Transport section, select SSE and copy the Server URL provided—this is what you’ll use to link TeamPal with your new MCP server.
